My name is Arnout van Loon, founder of PivotYou. For many years, I worked in the commercial IT sector, where, as a manager/director, I led and guided teams and employees and was responsible for complex change processes.

As a tech professional, I possess keen analytical insight, which enabled me to thoroughly understand diverse challenges, comprehend intricate processes, and develop innovative solutions. This was always done with consideration and respect for the history and context of the people and organizations I worked for.

As a person, I was born with many societal advantages. However, one crucial box remained unchecked: 'a happy childhood.' This was partly due to my parents' contentious divorce when I was nine years old and emotionally distant parents. All of this had a significant impact on me: nine employers and a great deal of hidden loss stemming from the status and wealth of my families of origin.

Thanks to the love of my life, Esther, I managed to overcome those challenges. I met her in 1984 when I was 18. We were happily married with three wonderful sons. It was therefore a great shock when she suddenly fell ill and passed away in 2017. Having emerged from a deep personal low, I now apply my personal and professional experiences  — in a different way. Driven by passion, I made my own 'pivot' towards guiding people who are struggling with loss & grief, behavioral issues, past hurts, or questions related to relationships, life, or leadership. These are often individuals whose lives appear good on the outside, but who feel deep down that something isn't right. Being able to do this work is incredibly beautiful and provides a profound sense of purpose.
