Meet Balance: bring “good breathing” back to work

In a work rhythm where everything seems to go faster, mental fatigue and slackened focus become almost “normal”. Balance is a team from Amsterdam that brings proven breathing techniques and meditation to the office and online meetings. With sessions of 30 minutes Balance helps employees reset, reduce stress and build resilience step by step. Breathe better, work better — breathing better means working better.

Why Balance?

  • Scientifically based: Balance uses breathwork to regulate the autonomic nervous system—away from “fight-or-flight” to “rest-and-digest.” This helps to reduce stress, improve HRV and accelerate recovery.
  • Made for the workplace: Short, accessible sessions that don't interfere with much. Ideal between meetings, on-site, hybrid or fully online.
  • Right to administrative pain points: Less stress means higher productivity, lower absenteeism and better retention. Structural breathwork provides demonstrable value for teams and organizations.

How does it work?

The heart of Balance is the 30-minute workshop. A certified trainer learns immediately applicable techniques that employees can use at their desks the same day. It can also be used as team building, so that a sustainable “breathing culture” is created.

Depending on the goal (calming or activating), Balance chooses appropriate techniques, for example:

  • Calming: Box Breathing (4-4-4-4) or 4-7-8 to support rapid rest and sleep preparation.
  • Activating: Rhythmic breathing with short retentions or energizing techniques to break up the afternoon dip.

Cole Groom and Zsombor Szabo
Balance
Cole Groom and Zsombor Szabo are the founders of Balance. Both come from the tech world and have experienced the impact of high workload up close. They studied breathwork, yoga and meditation and, among other things, attended the 50-hour Pranayama teacher training at Arhanta Yoga. In this way, they guarantee quality and an approach that matches office reality.

We're working with Balance to Glimpse Pebbles to integrate into their vitality-approach.
